Wow, what a dramatic story! Lots of darkness, intrigue and powerful images! I guess this is the story of a young French woman who becomes a vampire... which makes a very interesting storyline.

If she is going to travel in time and space (to Puyallup in America?) you might want to expand that aspect of the story so that your reader won't be surprised when it happens...

What other super-natural powers are you giving Theresa and her vampires?

I'd suggest that you read your story out loud to yourself and catch sentences that don't make sense, and take out words you don't need. Make sure every sentence has a simple, easy-to-understand meaning. Because your plot is so super-natural, the language you use needs to be even more simple and direct, so that the reader can follow along easily and not get confused.

I look forward to reading the next chapter! Post it here, on BirdWords!

I was leaning against one of the windows in the Odyssey hallway with the sun streaming in today at lunchtime and the warmth seemed to melt that place your poem speaks of inside of us, that holds on all winter, waiting. Thanks for giving voice to the beautiful changes that are happening as we exit winter... tomorrow is the first day of spring!

happy spring equinox!

Wow Emma I need to read this book. I don't usually like historical books, you know the books that take place during the Holocaust, WWI, WWII, etc. But anyways this was great, you writing is really easy to understand and insperational.
